Hometown internship

A Hometown Intern works alongside their local affiliated funds on a mission to discover and unleash their community’s assets. A Hometown Intern is a high school graduate who has spent at least one academic year away—whether at school, the workplace, or elsewhere—and lives in their hometown for the summer. Qualities include curiosity, open-mindedness, a desire to see their hometown through fresh eyes, and a drive to contribute to the future of their community. Interns will be compensated for their work, but housing will not be provided. Travel reimbursement and lodging for peer retreats and other NCF events will be provided.

Last summer, we had two hometown interns, Avery Eitzmann and Natalie Tietjen. They participated in various activities and even hosted the other interns in Byron. We are so excited about the friendships we created and can't wait to do it all again this summer. This was Byron's first year participating in the internship and we loved every part of it!

Byron Community Foundation Board

The Byron Community Foundation Board consists of all ages, and they are looking to expand those ages as well to add more variety to the board and allow for ideas from all aspects. The board meets 1-2 times a month and is interested in the future of Byron and what it can become. They partake and put on various activities around the town.

The boards members consist of: Tyler Tietjen (President), Jeremy Heitmann, Jaye Moeller, Alan Wenske, Tara Kuhlmann, Bruce Frietag & Abby Tietjen
